CRS Family Gathering – November 17, 2007
Deep sharing, prayer and
healing proved to be tremendous gifts of God’s love to all who attended our
gathering on November 17th. About 40 of us experienced an anointing on Jerri Buffo’s
talk on forgiveness as an essential step in our healing. Then we broke into
groups to share our difficulties forgiving and to pray for one another. The
Spirit worked miracles as people shared their deepest hurts with one another to
find sympathetic ears and the loving touch of a spiritual family eager to pray
for healing of these wounds which, in many cases, were received in childhood.
Tears flowed, hearts were touched and healing came as we offered ourselves to
the God who always comes when we make ourselves vulnerable to him. There was
also joyful music, adoration in the afternoon and anointing prayer for all who
attended. It seemed we all took another step into the light of God’s love that
day.

Vin Cerasuolo seems to be saying “Safe!” about the enviroment for sharing about forgiveness at this CRS family gathering.

Diane Colgan brought us together in praise.

We raised our hands and hearts in celebration of God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Jerri Buffo led us in a process of spiritual surgery as we prayed for the gift of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling . . . Though the feeling may come later.

We shared in our experiences and struggles with forgiveness in small groups.

Table fellowship is always a highlight of CRS family gatherings.

Finally we brought our hearts to Jesus in his Eucharistic presence.
