The Lord is doing a MARVELOUS work in our midst! On October 3-4, 2009 CRSB held our 2nd Annual Conference since Cardinal Se·n signed our Constitution. Mrs. Janet Benestad, the cabinet secretary for Faith Formation and Evangelization, who represented the Cardinal at our gathering, offered a warm and encouraging welcome on Saturday morning, and read the Cardinal’s greeting letter to the gathered community. Our theme, The Mountains Shall Be Moved was beautifully developed by our two speakers, Neil Velez, from New York and Malvina Modesto, from Santo Domingo. Their messages were powerful and focused! In 6 talks our presenters spoke about moving the mountains that impede 1. forgiveness and reconciliation, 2. hope, 3. faith, 4. healing and deliverance, 5. unity, and 6. evangelization. In addition we had the blessings of adoration Saturday night and Mass Sunday afternoon. Several physical healings took place over the course of the weekend, as well as numerous spiritual healings! Many people spoke about a presence of the Lord among us that was so powerful that it produced new changes and healing their hearts! An overwhelming joy seemed to dwell in the midst of those who were praising God together during the gathering times. Periods of praise and worship with music were led by each of the six ethnic groups in the CRSB family. The prophetic word was strong and consistent. It was a glorious time of promise for the future; a weekend of great grace for all in attendance!
