CRS Cookout – July 21, 2007
Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, Holliston, MA
This is the third year members of Boston area prayer groups and friends gathered for a relaxing day of fun in the sun.

The day started at 10 a.m. with the shrine’s regularly scheduled Saturday Mass. Father Francis, S.X. the shrine director, pointed out in his homily how the Red Sea reading from Exodus foreshadowed Jesus’ mission to all the people of the world.

After Mass the charcoal was fired up for the grilling of hot dogs, saussage and chicken wings.

The people who kept
arriving all day long brought an amazing array of dishes . . .

and desserts.

Several Christian bands and music groups filled the bandstand with praise to God throughout the day.

The band Still Working - Got Jesus from Middleborough energized us with powerful, rhythmic songs.

We Sang

And Danced

The St. Joseph, Quincy prayer group music ministry celebrated the joy of God’s love.

They were joined by a members of Fr. Tom Dilorenzo’s and the Boston College prayer groups music ministry.

The Everett Immaculate Conception prayer group added some originality to the songs played.

And finally a group of Haitain prayer group singers reminded us how praising God is the joy of all of God’s people.

Many people took time to walk the beautiful grounds at the shrine.

Others threw a megga
frisbee . . .

Or a football . . .

Or just took time to talk
. . .

And relax.

Everyone enjoyed the blessings that God provided in a beautiful day and especially in each other’s company.

Praise the Lord!
