Remembering the Fiesta

Hi,
Our Fiesta
/ cookout Saturday was MARVELOUS!! This was the first time we had
representatives from each CRSB culture join us for some portion of the day!
So many
people worked hard to make the day enjoyable for the young ones (many of whom
didnŐt want to leave) and the young at heart, who feasted on a wide variety of
DELICIOUS food, played games, shared music, and were blessed by the generous
embrace of the LordŐs fellowship among us all. Even the weather cooperated
(Thank you, Lord). I have the sun burn to prove it.
I remember
looking out from under the canopy where we ate to see the children playing
together joyfully to one side, the adults really getting into a game of volley
ball, adults playing ball with youngsters, people singing in the bandstand, and
others gathered around in the parking lot, singing, clapping and dancing to the
music. The food seemed to go on forever, and it seemed that everyone was so
happy to share what they had. I could have sworn I saw
the Lord smiling at us with tears of joy in his eyes, seeing his children
cooperating so generously!
One of the
highlights of the day for me came near the end, when music ministers from the
various cultures were all on the stage together, each taking a turn leading us
all in song. At that time it seemed like heaven came to earth! The Lord has
blessed the Boston renewal in an extraordinary way, and Saturday we were
privileged to see a miracle happen as we joined together to celebrate our
family-ness! We are learning to love and cherish each
other!
So many people to thank, but special kudos to Mike and Nancy
Marraffino, who, as in previous years, did a GREAT job organizing the day.
Thank you
one and all! Thank you Jesus!
Many
Blessings,
Vin
