June
16, 2007 – Multicultural Praise Day
St.
Mary Church, Waltham, MA
Our typical
CRS monthly family gathering centers around a teaching or subject we hope will
grow our faith. Our June gathering, instead, was completely focused on a time
of praise and worship to our Lord Jesus Christ through the gifts of the Holy
Spirit.
Members of
the American, Brazilian, Haitian, Hispanic, and Ugandan communities gathered to
fill the air with God’s praise in many languages, as on the day of Pentecost.

Father
Michael Nolan, Pastor of St. Mary’s Parish, Waltham joked that he may have made
a mistake celebrating Pentecost several weeks before.

That is
because he was hearing praise of God in many languages at the gathering.

He urged
all gathered to pray to God with one voice.

Lord, I
lift your name on high

Adorarte,
Señor

NAN MOMAN
SA A MWEN PRAN DESIZION

DEUS QUERO LOUVAR-TE, DEUS QUERO ADORAR-TE

O SENHOR E REI, O SENHOR E MEU PASTOR E REI

Like the
day of Pentecost, fire fall on us

I say Yes, Lord,
Yes

WOULE WOCH
LA

LOUWE LOUWE
LOUWE, LOUWE

Lléna Tú mi
corazón

Que grande
eres Dios

In Uganda
lack of instruments doesn’t stop praise of God.

We have our
voices and our bodies

Come, Holy
Spirit, Come
