Boston Leaders Training
On
February 20, 2010 leaders from Boston area charismatic prayer groups gathered
at the Waltham Espousal Center. We were continuing our mission of training ourselves
in the basics of God’s gifts shared through the movement of the Holy Spirit.
The day’s training was based on newly translated chapters from Catholic
Charismatic Renewal – Brazil - Formation Ministry, Workbook II, Charisms.
Alvaro
Soares led the discussions which spoke about the general nature of charisms and
specifically about the gifts to tongues, prophecy, and interpretation of
tongues. Our praise and worship proceeding each session was led by Michael Mukisa.
The following are some quotes and photos of the day.

Michael
Mukisa led us in his song praising Abba Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 11
lists the Infused gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12 describes the effused
gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Peter and
John gave the lame beggar the best gift: healing in Jesus Christ.

Mark
16:17-18 commissions us to minister signs in Jesus’ name.

Charisms
don’t belong to us.

There are
no gifts if we are not servants.

We are
renovating things that used to happen in the church.

Speaking
in tongues is a gift for the community; another person is needed to interpret.
